$30 for early bird registration through March 3, 2024 and $35 from March 4, 2024 through race morning

Vision: Building In Good Habits Early to Alcohol Recovery Treatment
A large part of alcohol recovery is service to others. Erik Drylie had a heart for serving others his whole life- orphanage, foster parent, public defender, solicitor, friend. While in recovery, Erik died unexpectedly from sudden cardiac death due to dilated cardiomyopathy- literally a big heart. His previous years of alcoholism enlarged his heart. Erik’s life of service was cut too short. BIG HEART formed in memory of Erik Drylie to educate recovering alcoholics on ways alcohol may have unknowingly damaged their body- and how best to care for their body going forward in recovery.
It is the mission of BIG HEART to support The Hale Foundation residents by giving them tools to instill healthy habits early in recovery. Whether through fresh produce, physicals, health education and awareness, exercise, stress management, and timeline for general health screenings- BIG HEART will help residents and graduates of The Hale Foundation lead healthier lives in recovery.
